1. Stay in Well-Lit Areas: "Don't go wandering into dark alleys or deserted streets. That's how I find my victims! Stick to well-lit, well-populated areas."
2. Walk in Groups: "Never walk alone, especially at night. Safety in numbers is key." 3. Be Aware of Your Surroundings: "Keep your head up and be aware of your surroundings. If you see something suspicious, tell a trusted adult." 4. Cross the Street Safely: "Don't cross the street without looking both ways. And don't text or look at your phone while walking. I've seen people get distracted and end up in my grasp!" 5. Don't Talk to Strangers: "Stranger danger is real! Don't talk to strangers, especially if they offer you candy or ask you to follow them. I've been known to be a pretty persuasive stranger...but in a bad way."

1. Adult Supervision: "Parents, remember to supervise your children, even when they're trick-or-treating. We don't want any little ghosts and goblins getting lost or scared." 2. Bright Costumes: "Make sure your children's costumes are brightly colored and have reflective material on them. This will help drivers see them in the dark." 3. Check Your Candy: "Once your children are done trick-or-treating, check their candy to make sure it's safe before they eat it." 4. Have a Safe Trick-or-Treat Plan: "Plan your trick-or-treat route in advance and stick to it. Let someone know where you're going and when you expect to be back."
