MeToo CWRU: Trick or Treat Support

Halloween is a time for costumes, candy, and fun. But for many, it can also be a time of vulnerability and anxiety. This is especially true for survivors of sexual assault and harassment.

The MeToo movement has brought to light the prevalence of sexual violence on college campuses, including at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). It is important to remember that while Halloween might be a night of lighthearted fun for some, it can be a trigger for others. CWRU is committed to providing support and resources to all students, faculty, and staff.

Understanding the Impact of Halloween on Survivors

For survivors of sexual assault, Halloween can be a challenging holiday. The costumes, parties, and alcohol can bring back painful memories and trigger feelings of anxiety, fear, and shame. Some may feel overwhelmed by the pressure to participate in events that they may not be comfortable with.

Support Resources at CWRU
