Happy Halloween from the USEA!

It's that time of year again – the time for costumes, candy, and of course, Halloween. As the leaves turn vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow, we at the USEA are getting into the spooky spirit! We hope you are too!

A Spooktacular Time for Equestrians

For equestrians, Halloween is a unique time to get creative! Whether you're decorating your horse's stall with spooky decorations, donning a fun costume for your next show, or simply enjoying a pumpkin-spiced latte with your equine companion, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the season.

Safety First: Keeping Your Horse Happy & Safe

While we encourage all our members to enjoy Halloween, we also want to remind everyone to prioritize the safety of both horses and humans.

Here are some tips:

• Keep treats away from your horse: While candy might be tempting, chocolate and other sweets can be toxic to horses. Stick to safe treats like apples and carrots!
• Avoid loud noises: Horses can be easily spooked by loud noises, so try to keep your celebrations calm and quiet.
• Keep costumes safe: Make sure any costumes you use for your horse are secure and won't cause any hazards.
